Growth is fast, typically colonizing a 100mm plate in approximately 5-10 days at an optimal temperature of 72–77°F. Use well-balanced PDA or MEA with added glucose and mineral nutrients to maintain a vigorous, uniform culture — this species can stall on very poor media compared to standard oyster strains.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Culture Use\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMushroom plate cultures, typically on MEA culture plates, are used to grow and preserve mycelium. In most cases, sterile transfers of agar wedges from this plate are used to inoculate fresh culture media or sterilized grain spawn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Culture Storage\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour mushroom plate culture can be wrapped in parafilm and stored at normal room temps, in a sealed baggie, for up to 6 months. Out-Grow recommends you replate your mushroom plate culture every 6 months to ensure longevity of your purchase.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStore fully colonized plates at 35–43°F in darkness, sealed with moderate humidity. Plan to transfer every 1-3 months, with longer-term stock maintained on slants.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Cultures Are Made to Order\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll mushroom culture plates are made to order. Once your order is received, Out-Grow will inoculate your plate within 1-3 days. Your mushroom plate culture will then be incubated in our mycology lab for approximately 7-14 days, or until clean healthy mycelium has been verified by our mycologist. Once verified, your order will be shipped promptly.
