Growth is moderate, typically colonizing a 100mm plate in approximately 7-14 days at an optimal temperature of 22-239°F on MEA or BCYA. Important: interior puffball tissue can carry heavy bacterial loads — use multiple small tissue pieces on separate plates during initial cloning and plan several successive transfers from clean, fast-growing edges before building working cultures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Culture Use\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMushroom plate cultures, typically on MEA culture plates, are used to grow and preserve mycelium. In most cases, sterile transfers of agar wedges from this plate are used to inoculate fresh culture media or sterilized grain spawn.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Culture Storage\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour mushroom plate culture can be wrapped in parafilm and stored at normal room temps, in a sealed baggie, for up to 6 months. Out-Grow recommends you replate your mushroom plate culture every 6 months to ensure longevity of your purchase.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStore fully colonized plates at 35–43°F in darkness, sealed. Plan to transfer every 2-3 months, keeping the cleanest line designated as a master culture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Cultures Are Made to Order\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll mushroom culture plates are made to order. Once your order is received, Out-Grow will inoculate your plate within 1-3 days. Your mushroom plate culture will then be incubated in our mycology lab for approximately 7-14 days, or until clean healthy mycelium has been verified by our mycologist. Once verified, your order will be shipped promptly.
