Growth is fast and vigorous at an optimal temperature of 72–79°F. The key distinction of sporeless strains is the absence of functional spore production in fruitbodies, which reduces airborne spore loads in grow rooms. Because sporeless strains cannot be reliably propagated from spores, maintaining healthy master agar cultures with regular backups is especially critical to avoid loss of the clone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Culture Use\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMushroom plate cultures, typically on MEA culture plates, are used to grow and preserve mycelium. Out-Grow recommends you replate your mushroom plate culture every 6 months to ensure longevity of your purchase.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStore fully colonized plates at 35–41°F in darkness, sealed to prevent desiccation. Working plates should be refreshed every 2-3 months; maintain multiple backup cultures given that this clone cannot be recovered from spores.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMushroom Plate Cultures Are Made to Order\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll mushroom culture plates are made to order. Once your order is received, Out-Grow will inoculate your plate within 1-3 days. Your mushroom plate culture will then be incubated in our mycology lab for approximately 7-14 days, or until clean healthy mycelium has been verified by our mycologist. Once verified, your order will be shipped promptly.
